Cars steeped in history, illustrious names and a unique set of regulations make the FIA European Historic Hill Climb Championship an exciting mix of surprises for motorsport fans. At the Int. 58th Hill Climb Race Osnabrück from 7–9 August, this prestigious series will make its debut at Uphöfener Berg. Following five rounds in Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Italy, the competitors will now gather for the only German round of 2026. The cars are divided into categories according to their historic period to ensure that drivers competing in their original, historically accurate vehicles can compete on a level playing field. Among the leading contenders this season so far are the Czechs Josef Čermák (Osella PA20/S) and Jaroslav Mikeš (BMW M3 E30), the Italian Ildebrando Motti (Porsche 911 Carrera RS), the Austrian Gerald Glinzner (Porsche 911 Carrera SC), and the Poles Christian Zaleski (BMW 2002 TI) and Marcin Przybyszewski (Honda Integra Type R). The iconic race at Uphöfener Berg will showcase a piece of motorsport history on the track – and is sure to be a feast for the eyes and ears of all fans.
